Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By using Pinday at class-pulse-ten.vercel.app, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What Pinday does
- Shows the timetable you import from an
.icscalendar file, with the next class first. - Lets you choose the classes you actually take and mark classes as cancelled.
- Asks you after each class whether you attended and how it went, and turns your answers into statistics.
- If you connect Google Drive: saves your data in a Google Sheet and your lesson notes, slides and drawings as files in your own Drive.
Pinday is free. There is no account to create with Pinday itself; connecting Google is optional and only needed for notes and syncing.
3. Your account and your Google connection
- You sign in with your own Google account. You are responsible for keeping it secure.
- Pinday only gets the
drive.filepermission: it can only see and change the files it created in your Drive. - You can disconnect at any time in the app, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Your use of Google Drive and Google Sheets is also governed by Google's own terms.
4. Your content
Your timetable, check-ins, notes, images, slides and drawings belong to you. Pinday doesn't claim any right over them and doesn't send them to any server of its own. Only add content you have the right to use: for example, lecture slides your university shares with you are for your own study, and you remain responsible for respecting their copyright when you upload, annotate, export or share them.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use Pinday for anything illegal, or to store content you're not allowed to have;
- try to break, overload or attack the website, or use it to access other people's data;
- copy the Pinday website to pretend to be it, or use it to collect other people's Google sign-ins.
6. Your timetable is a copy
Pinday shows a copy of the calendar file you imported. Rooms, times and cancellations can change after you import it. Always check your university's official timetable and messages for exams, room changes and cancellations. Classes you mark as cancelled in Pinday are only a note for yourself.
7. Notifications
End-of-class check-ins appear while Pinday is open in your browser, and as system notifications if you allow them. They may not appear if the page is closed, your device is asleep or your browser blocks them. Don't rely on them for anything important.
8. Backups and data loss
Data kept only in your browser is lost if you clear your browser data, use a private window or change device. Connecting Google Drive keeps a copy in your Drive. Pinday can't recover data you or your browser deleted, and can't see or restore files in your Drive. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose, for example by exporting important notes to PDF.
9. Availability and changes
Pinday is a personal project, offered free of charge. It may change, be unavailable at times, or stop. Features may be added or removed. If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date; continuing to use the app means you accept it.
10. No warranty
Pinday is provided “as is”, without any warranty that it will be error-free, always available, or fit for a particular purpose. Statistics such as attendance rate or typing speed are estimates based on what you enter and are not official records.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by the law that applies to you, the developer of Pinday is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from using or not being able to use the app, including missed classes, wrong timetable information, or lost notes or data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
12. Stopping
You can stop using Pinday at any time: disconnect Google, then delete the Pinday folder in your Drive and clear this site's data in your browser if you want to remove everything.
